Ceramic tassel collection for 2018.
Ancient-inspired by the provocative mark making of the prehistoric people.
I freely imagined they adorned their dwellings with wall hangings of this nature.
Taking reference from the book 'Symbols of Power : at the time of Stonehenge'.
I have created a series of wheel thrown torus forms to hold a tassel, a link to the past, now set for our contemporary spaces.
Wheel thrown Torus form, made in stoneware. Decorated with porcelain slip and an incised pattern with a fine linen cotton string tassel.
Width 130 mm
Length 860 mm
